You may have seen the image before, but if you are in the Monroe, NY, area this weekend, don’t miss out on hearing the story of this fascinating artifact made by a Civil War hero and Brother!

On Friday evening, September 2, 2016, 8:00 p.m. at Museum Village, Monroe, NY, come hear Catherine M. Walter, Curator of the Chancellor Robert R Livingston Masonic Library of the Grand Lodge of New York [the Library], as she describes not only the history of this small wooden pendant, but also the unparalleled resources of the Library. The lecture is presented by the Cornerstone Masonic Historical Society, by Museum Village and by the Library.

If you can’t make the lecture, come to spend the following day, September 3, 2016, at Museum Village’s 41st Civil War Re-enactment which will be held from 10 am-5 pm ($15 entry fee), and enjoy a long-standing tradition of highlighting Civil War heroes. The Curator will be stationed at a table there, with the Pendant, and will be available for questions.
