Christmas 2025 Message
My Brothers and Friends,
As the Christmas season returns—wrapped in light, wonder, and the warmth of fellowship—I extend to each of you, and to your families, my heartfelt wishes for a joyful and blessed holiday.
Christmas is, at its heart, a season of hope. A season that reminds us that light can pierce any darkness, that kindness is more powerful than division, and that the simplest acts of love can transform a life. It is a time when families draw near, when generosity flows more freely, and when we are reminded of the values that lie at the center of our lives, our communities, and our Craft.
In this spirit, I am profoundly grateful for the Brothers of our great jurisdiction. Throughout this past year, I have witnessed Lodges across New York practicing the very essence of Freemasonry—charity without fanfare, brotherhood without condition, service without expectation of return. From caring for our widows and families, to supporting the distressed, to lifting the spirits of those who feel alone, you have shown what it truly means to live our obligations. My Brothers, this is Masonry. And this is the light the world needs.
As we gather around Christmas trees, holiday tables, and places of worship, let us also remember those who cannot be home: the men and women of our Armed Forces, first responders, and all who keep our communities safe. Let us keep in our hearts the lonely, the sick, the grieving, and the forgotten—and renew our commitment to being a source of comfort, compassion, and hope.
This Christmas, may we carry the teachings of our Craft into every corner of our lives. May we be quick to forgive, generous in spirit, and steadfast in brotherly love. And may the light of this season guide us into a new year filled with peace, purpose, and continued growth for New York Masonry.
On behalf of the Deputy Grand Master, the Grand Line, and the entire Grand Lodge family, I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas, a season of joy, and a New Year filled with health, happiness, and harmony.
Merry Christmas, My Brothers.
With kind brotherly love, I remain,
Steven Adam Rubin
Grand Master
