Thanksgiving Message
My Brothers, and the families who bless and strengthen our Masonic homes,
As we gather around our tables this Thanksgiving, on behalf of my wife Mojdeh, Deputy Grand Master Hogan and his wife Dina, and the entire Grand Line, I extend to each of you my warmest wishes. This season reminds us that gratitude is not only a feeling—it is a discipline, a way of seeing the world, and a way of living our obligations as Freemasons.
I am grateful for you—our Brothers across this great Jurisdiction—who labor quietly and faithfully in your Lodges and communities. I am grateful for the friendship we share, the unity we strive to build, and the spirit of Brotherhood that continues to define New York Masonry. And I am deeply grateful for your families, whose love, patience, and support make our work possible. They, too, are part of this Masonic family, and they, too, deserve our thanks.
This Thanksgiving, let us also pause to remember the brave men and women of our Armed Services, who preserve the freedoms we cherish, and the dedicated first responders who keep our communities safe day after day. Their sacrifice, courage, and unwavering service are blessings to us all.
At this season of reflection, may we not forget our elderly Brothers, our widows, and the members of our extended Masonic family who may be facing this time alone or in need. Reach out. Call. Visit. Offer a warm word, a warm meal, or a warm hand. These simple acts are the true measure of our Craft.
As we look toward the coming year—with renewed purpose, strengthened unity, and an unwavering commitment to Brotherhood—may this day refresh our spirits and remind us of the good we can accomplish when we labor together in harmony.
From my family to yours, and on behalf of the Grand Lodge of New York, I wish you a joyful, peaceful, and blessed Thanksgiving.
With kind brotherly love, I remain,
Steven Adam Rubin
Grand Master
