The Summer is finished, and Autumn is in full force, the weather is changing, the tree leaves are turning colors and dropping, and we, as Masons, are hard at work in the quarries.
As Americans, we are now preparing to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday season. This is a totally American holiday and honors the harvest and the bounty of foods that nourish us and enrich our lives. Lately it has become a celebration of Shopping, but let us pause to reflect on all that the Great Architect of the Universe has bestowed upon us, as Masons, our lodge brothers and their families, our families, and friends, and let us all be appreciative.
Thanksgiving is also the start of the End of Year celebrations, Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza, and the New Year. May we all join and celebrate together.
We also remember all our fellow humans who are in dire straits this year, many of them due to the terrible weather conditions the past few months. Please remember to donate as liberally as you can to our Disaster Relief program, so we can help them out.
All that being said, my wife Carla, Deputy Grand Master RW William Sardone, his wife Nancy, and the entire elected and appointed members of the Grand Line and their ladies are all pleased to join me in wishing you and your families all a Happy Thanksgiving Day and Weekend.
In addition, let us implore the Great Architect of the Universe to protect the members of our Armed Forces as they are protecting us, wherever in the world they may be serving as well as all our domestic First Responders, and our Brothers and Sisters all over the world. May He keep them safe and out of harm’s way so they can continue their important efforts!
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Jeffrey M. Williamson
