In 2014, the Most Worshipful Grand Master William J. Thomas created the Masonic Blood and Organ Donor Program Committee and appointed the Worshipful Bill Peist, Sr, and David Rothstein as the Committee Chair and Vice-Chair. The Masonic Blood and Organ Donor Program is a combination of what used to be the Masonic Blood Program and the Masonic Organ Donor Program Committee. It is a sub-committee of the Masonic Community Services Committee.

The work of the Masonic Blood and Organ Donor Program Committee is one of the priorities of the Grand Master. Under the new leadership, the Committee has already begun to make a difference. They have been heavily involved with all of the Masonic Districts throughout the State of New York in promoting and publicizing the combined program and recruiting others to be involved in this important cause.
