Operation Pen Pal
Identify which of our Brothers or members of their families from New York State are either on active duty, are being activated, or being sent to the foreign lands.
To accomplish this we are reaching out to all District Deputies, Worshipful Masters, and Lodge Secretaries to develop a list of these Brothers or family members and how they may be reached (assignment, A.P.O., access to e-mail, etc.) once deployed to other duty stations. (Download the Registration Form, for this purpose mark the New Registration box on the top right corner of the form, or fill out a form online.)
With changes in assignments or duty stations, it will be necessary to regularly update the contact information. (Download the Registration Form, for this purpose mark the Update box on the top right corner of the form, or fill out a form online.)
This form should be used to coordinate your Lodge’ efforts to correspond with the Military person and when submitted to Grand Lodge will be utilized to coordinate the issuance of Masonic Identification Cards and the forwarding of an packages that Grand Lodge may want to send to your Military Brother.
NOTE: When addressing packages to members of the military, the following template may be useful:
Master Sergeant John L. Smith
123-45-6789 (That is the soldiers service number — typically the SS Number)
Company B
First Battalion/ 69th Infantry
Fort Mount Sutton, CA 94541
Individual duty stations may add additional routing which will come from the military member.
Make sure the A.P.O. is correct.
