FACTS ON THE 227TH COMMUNICATION
Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 2008-03-03 22:18. [ Grand Master ]I hope this message finds everyone well and staying warm.
This year's Grand Lodge session promises to be a great weekend of events as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of our Masonic Medical Research Laboratory and the 227th Annual Communication of our Grand Lodge.
The Convention Committee has worked very hard to arrange for more rooms at the headquarters hotel and the Marriott Hotel across the street, in East Elmhurst, Queens. They have arranged for a rate of $149.00 per night per ROOM and because the Masonic Medical Research Laboratory is hosting the celebration and the Communication, you will only have to pay $3.50 per ROOM per night in additional fees. The rooms are all double occupancy.
Tech Committee Chairman's Corner
Submitted by Stu Card on Sat, 2007-09-08 13:55.Hello Brethren and Friends!
I'm Stu Card, the chairman of our Technology Committee. Despite being an engineer, I'm nowhere near as facile with web authoring etc. as your average 14 year old. So please bear with me! It is my intention to use this blog to informally share what the volunteers on our committee are doing to support the Craft. This first post is more of an experiment, for me to learn the use of the tool, than anything else. More will follow, probably not with any regularity. :-)
Certificate of Election: My Tiler isn't from My Lodge
Submitted by MORI on Mon, 2007-05-21 19:44. [ MORI ]Q: My tiler is not from my Lodge, how do I enter his information into MORI for the Certificate of Election?
A: You will need to get the brother's Grand Lodge number from him, then enter it in the Tiler field. The brother can get his Grand Lodge number from his dues card.

We are pleased to announce that you will be able to submit your 2007 Certificate of Election electronically. The process has been greatly improved, and has met with the approval of the Grand Secretary's office. The new form will be activated in time for you to submit your COE after Grand Session.
To enter your certificate of election on the menu go to: Lodge -> Certificates of Election.
This will bring you to a screen listing any COE that are currently stored in MORI. At the bottom of the list there is an "add" button. Click the "add" button and you will be presented with the new electronic COE.
Holiday Message
Submitted by Grand Master on Fri, 2006-12-15 17:00. [ Grand Master ]My Brethren, Family and friends,
We greet this holiday season as a time to be with our families and friends, to find joy in the spirit of giving, and to reflect on the year just passed while anticipating the New Year about to come. It is a time filled with happiness for many of us. Perhaps this year, we can all stop for a moment and think of those who may be experiencing sadness during this season: our Brothers with families who may be struggling through difficult times; a widow spending her first holiday alone; a family with a son or daughter serving overseas. Let’s take time to remember these people in our prayers and in our plans this year, and see if our happiness can lighten their cares, even for a few moments. This, my Brothers, is what Masons do.

Creating Your MORI Account
Submitted by MORI on Mon, 2006-10-23 18:26. [ MORI ]Over the past few weeks the roster of Grand Lodge and Committee members has been integrated with MORI. Now you can download the latest version of the roster as your needs require. This has generated a lot of questions and issues with brothers creating their account. The Online MORI Guide covers the complete process of creating your account.
In order to create an account on MORI you must be a secretary, Masonic Brotherhood Fund Chairman, a Master of a Lodge, or be either a permanent member of Grand Lodge or a member of a Grand Lodge committee.

Getting Started with Dues: Part II - Assigning Member Types
Submitted by MORI on Wed, 2006-10-18 17:23. [ MORI ]In our last installment we learned how to create member types for our lodge. In this installment we're going to learn a simple way to assign a member type to every member of our lodge. Fortunately MORI has a feature that allows this to all be done on one screen. You dont' need to look up every member of your lodge individually.
It is necessary that you have created your member types from our first installment before doing this step.
